Natural Resource Partners LP (NYSE:NRP), which, through its subsidiaries owns and manages coal properties in Appalachia, the Illinois Basin and the Powder River Basin regions, announced on 8 May its financial results for the quarter ended 31 March 2008.
The company's total revenues for the first quarter were USD64.1m, up by 28% when compared to USD50.2m for the same quarter of 2007. The net income was USD33.8m (USD0.40 per diluted share), as against the net income of USD21.9m (USD0.28 per diluted share), in the first quarter a year ago.
