Provident Energy Trust (Toronto:PVE-UN.TO) (NYSE:PVX), which operates as an open-end unincorporated investment trust in Canada and the United States, released on 8 May its financial results for the first quarter ended 31 March 2008 and its May dividend of CAD0.12 per unit.
The company's total revenues for the first quarter were CAD702m, up when compared to CAD558.8m for the same quarter of 2007. The net income was CAD33.6m (CAD0.13 per diluted share), as against the net income of CAD43.1m (CAD0.20 per diluted share) in the first quarter a year ago.
The cash dividend will be paid on 13 June 2008 to all unit holders of record as of 23 May 2008. The ex-distribution date will be 21 May 2008. The actual US dollar distribution will be subject to applicable taxes and depend on the Canadian/US dollar exchange rate on the payment date.
