Newtek Business Services Inc (NasdaqGM:NEWT), which, through its subsidiaries, operates as a direct distributor of business services to the small and medium-sized business market, announced on 8 May its financial results for the first quarter ended 31 March 2008.
The company's total revenues for the first quarter were USD23.5m, up by 7.8% when compared to USD21.8m for the same quarter of 2007. The net loss was USD2.7m (USD0.08 loss per diluted share), as against the net loss of USD2.9m (USD0.08 loss per diluted share) in the first quarter a year ago.
